Madoff & Jackson v. Presley

On Monday Bernie Madoff will be sentenced.  He is looking at 150 years.  Let's hope Judge Chin gives him the full sentence.  At 71, a 30 year sentence may good enough to finish Bernie off.  It's a shame we waste the death penalty on nickel and dime murders.  Bernie Madoff has taken the lives of more people than most serial killers.  Instead, he can look forward a life stay at a Club Fed. Elvis v. Michael Jackson... Now that the autopsies are complete - the burning question  - Does Michael Jackson have the financial horsepower in death that his one-time deceased father-in-law continues to show?  When Elvis exited the mortal stage on August 16, 2009 he was worth a paltry $4.9 million.  Last year EP Enterprises - the company that licenses Presley's name, likeness and runs Graceland - generated over $700 million in cash.  The final years of Jackson's career closely mirror that of the King's final years -  no hit records, high living costs, a large number of greedy sycophants and unhealthy living.  It remains to be seen if Jackson will - in his own words - truly end up like Elvis...   Read More
